The climate crisis is an initiatory threshold for humanity.

Working together, we can awaken the human soul to meet climate change.

Working together, we can use our "dark-adjusted eyes" to see climate change as a spiritual calling from soul.

As the Great Climate Disruption gets underway, it brings us right to the razor's edge of this precious present moment. No past. No future. Just what is here now. An event such as Climate Change, alongside the overshooting of the carrying capacity of the Earth and loss of biodiversity, has the potential to kill a countless million lives worldwide. It also has the potential to be a spiritual initiator for the evolution of humanity.

How so?

In our day-to-day lives, we can easily fall asleep into a homeostatic trance that preserves the status quo and woefully inhibits our evolution. A personal or collective crisis has the potential to awaken us from such slumber.

A personal crisis can so often thwart our daily routine. Cancer, job loss, divorce, or loss of a loved one can crack the shell of ingrained habit and initiate us into a journey of self-discovery.

A collective crisis has the potential to wake up the masses. The Great Climate Disruption serves as a potential species-wide initiatory event. When we recognize the possibility that Climate Change may kill millions, it can activate dormant intelligences, bringing into consciousness such powerful spiritual inquiries as:

Who am I?

What am I to do?

What is my purpose, place, destiny?

What if we lived in a mythology of inter-being with all of life?

Our Invitation to Sacred Council

We invite you to participate in a LIVE Zoom council—transforming anxiety into empowerment. Encountering our anxiety and fear is vital if we are to see this crisis with clarity and meet it with our full strength. Merely remaining in either denial or survival mode—attempting to either brush it off or tough it out—keeps the heart stuck in a frozen condition. Having a safe place, a council, allows the tender heart to thaw, to express and transform its pent up emotions. This process is key for moving from desperation to empowerment.

You are invited to this special Zoom gathering where we will meet this Climate Change moment:

first, we will meet our understandable anxiety and fear,
then, we will transition to "empowerment" by connecting with our soul's deep purpose.

Jonathan Gustin & Charles Eisenstein

Charles Eisenstein is a teacher, speaker, and writer focusing on themes of civilization, consciousness, money, and cultural evolution. His online writings have generated a vast following and he gives numerous interviews on radio and podcasts. Eisenstein graduated from Yale with a degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, and spent the next ten years as a Chinese-English translator.

Jonathan Gustin, M.A, MFT, is a purpose guide, psychotherapist, and meditation teacher in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 27 years. Jonathan is the founder and lead teacher of the Purpose Guides Institute and Green Sangha. He has taught purpose discovery at San Quentin Prison and also serves as adjunct faculty at John F. Kennedy University.
